Our Story
It all started…
In 2012 when two cousins- Josh and Patrick Johnson- designed and printed business cards off their home computer and started ringing doorbells around their Boston neighborhood. They named their company J n J Yard Work and used the family lawn mower and yard equipment to help neighbors with their yard work needs.
A few years later, Josh (pictured) went onto Babson College to study entrepreneurship and continued to grow the business while in school. As J n J grew and expanded our services to the landscape management company we are today, our name no longer reflected this change. GreenOp is an exciting new expression of who we are and what we do.
Now GreenOp offers commercial and residential clients with landscape design, development, maintenance, and management. Through our 8 years we have built up the knowledge and team to transform and maintain any property to its full potential.

Meet Our Managers
Kristin Macchi
Kristin is a Certified Landscape Designer with over 20 years experience working directly with clients to bring their visions to reality in the greater Boston area. She has a passion for the planning, design and installation of unique and sustainable spaces, focusing on utilizing natives and pollinators to create low maintenance gardens that provide year round interest. Kristin lives in Jamaica Plain and enjoys spending her free time with her 2 sons and with Cinder, her Border Collie.

Chris Degregorio
Chris has been in the landscape business for 25 years as an I.S.A. Certified arborist with a background in horticulture. He takes pride in building strong customer relationships while delivering high quality jobs. In his free time, he loves tending to his gardens, playing golf, and spending time on Martha’s Vineyard. Chris lives in Milton, with his family and two dogs, and is a proud father of a McGill University freshman. Chris will be helping us with our landscape construction projects and will help us manage our landscapes with lawns and tree needs!
